WASA's generator

There is a WASA pump site in front of my residence within the boundary of the Government Officers' Quarters at Sobhanbag. WASA has recently installed a generator there which goes on when electricity goes off. As these days electricity frequently goes, the generator has often to be operated. But the inhabitants of the surrounding area cannot live in peace due to its unbearable dreadful sound. The children cannot concentrate on their lessons. The house owners of this area apprehend that their tenants move away from here. I would like to draw the kind attention of WASA to the terrible sound of this generator. They should erect wall around and above the generator with provision for sufficient air to pass through. They may use a canopy and other proper instruments for reducing the sound.
