Office Shorts

Office shorts - not seen in Australia for decades - are tipped to be the next big thing for fashionable blokes. It has been a long time since a man's knees were seen in the office but that may be about to change. The "city short" is the hottest tip for this year's men's summer fashion. The new-look city short has already been clocked on the men of London and New York this year and was one of the latest looks at The Ultimate Men's Runway Show.
Singer turned designer Justin Timberlake also showed men in city shorts at New York Fashion Week, in his work for fashion house William Rast. "Anybody over the age of 35 will remember men used to go to work with shorts and long white socks and the accessory to go with that was the pen to stick in the side of the sock," said Peter Holder, of ACP's Men's Lifestyle.
"Thankfully things have changed. I think you'll see it on casual Fridays." Sales representative Stacey Tip, of Leichhardt, said while she thought the look was practical for summer it would not work with her co-workers. "It looks good but I don't know if it would be accepted by everyone in all offices," she said.
